Prostate Cancer Treatment

Robotic Prostatectomy (the "robotic" approach) is a new state of the art approach utilizing the most advanced robotic technology in surgery and applying it to the treatment of prostate cancer. The daVinci robotic surgical system is used to assist our surgeons to perform the surgery with fine precision using small robotic hands through 5 or 6 tiny incisions in the abdomen.


Our physicians at Comprehensive Urology have specialized expertise in the state of the art robotic technology with the da Vinci® Surgical system. The surgeon’s hands power the precise movements of the micro-instruments through keyhole incisions within the abdomen. With a magnified-three dimensional view, every maneuver is performed with direct input from the surgeon. The daVinci robotic system that our physicians use at Cedars-Sinai medical center allows the surgeon to perform laparoscopic surgeries with fine precision utilizing a computer console and two wrist controls which command tiny robotic hands.
