Dr. Sanford graduated from Brooklyn College and New York Medical College. He interned at Cedars Sinai Medical Center (Cedars of Lebanon) Los Angeles and did his general surgery residency and urological residency at Jewish Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Sanford has been in the private practice of Urology since 1971. In 2003, he founded the Comprehensive Urology Medical Group with Dr. Kiarash Michel.
Dr. Sanford is a clinical assistant Professor of Urology at USC (University of Southern California.) He has served in many hospital positions, including Chairman of the Medical Education Committee at Cedars Sinai for 4 years and Chief of Urology at Cedars Sinai for 4 years. He was chief of staff at Westside Hospital Los Angeles. He has a special interest in urological workers’ compensation.
